In IIS instead of the NT challenge response option choose Basic Authentication. When you view the properties of an IIS instance go to directory security and choose edit on anonymous access and authentication control then specify Basic Authentication and uncheck allow anonymous access. Click the edit button and specify the default domain to authenticate to.

Enjoy!

Subject: CGI.Auth_Password woes

Hey can anyone tell me how I can capture the password entered into an NT challenge to view a web page.

I have a web page that is secured.  When a user requests the page he is prompted for a user name and password for the Server.  When he is authenticated the page is displayed.  The CGI.AUTH_USER get set, but the CGI.AUTH_PASSWORD does not.  What is up with that.  I don't believe that there is a way to retrieve the password from the Domain, you can only authenticate it.

Also Does anyone know what the CFCATCH.Message "InsideText" Means.

Sincerely,
