We have several servers at the Planet and while they have a great set of
backbone providers and good rates, their staff is very amateur.

<rant>
Once they had me on the same switch as a customer that was running a network
traffic analyzer that was causing packet loss to my box. The lady on tech
support that night tried to tell me my IPSec settings where incorrect, after
questioning her I found that she knew nothing about IPsec and was just doing
"routine connectivity checks" on me. After a few hours they finally called
in a network admin to sniff one of their routers and located the problem
customer.
</rant>

They have twice issued me IP's and then took them back. No fun when you have
to wait for DNS to propagate again.

My experience with their accounting department leads me to believe they keep
all their customer accounts on note cards in shoe boxes.

Their routers do seem to have problems with network spikes, boxes go down
for 2 to 3 minutes randomly usually once a week.

I'm sure all hosts have their problems, these are just the ones I've
experienced, I'm actually a fairly happy customer.
