If it's simple email most cell phone providers give the phone an email
address, which is usually [EMAIL PROTECTED] or something along
those lines.  From a programming perspective this type of
communication is just another email.

If you mean text messages (SMS) that gets a bit more complex and
expensive to implement, but it's imminently doable with the new SMS
gateway in CFMX 7.
