Thanks Matt. I haven't used LoadRunner before but it sounds like a great
piece of software. Where do you buy it and is it very expensive?

Subject: Re: Anyone Interested in Learning About Verity?

So far I've been extremely impressed with the speed of Verity in CFMX 7.
They did away with the non-K2 side of Verity in CF 7 so everything is K2.
They also (finally!) upgraded from Verity 2.x that was in CF through 6.1 and
are now on Verity 5.5, which is quite a step forward in both features and
performance.

Right now we have about 10,000 documents in our main collection and the
search times are never more than about 15 milliseconds on our dev server,
which is a VMWare server so on our production servers it should hold up
really well. I'm going to be doing some load testing with LoadRunner soon
so I should be able to report on the scalability by the time the meeting
rolls around.

I haven't used full text indexing in SQL Server in quite a while (and know
nothing about what's up with SQL Server 2005 in this regard), but there are
some really nice features in Verity that as far as I know aren't in most
RDBMS.

The meeting location DID change. For May we're meeting in the AidMatrix
office which is inside the i2 Building at 635 and Luna. For June forward
we'll be meeting in the TEKSystems offices which is also pretty much at 635
and Luna. I'll send out another email about this before the meeting and get
the web site updated.
