Have you checked the event viewer for any errors from perfmon? Maybe there's
a permission issue.

Subject: Performance Monitor Alerts

Does anybody have any experience utilizing the alerts within performance
monitor? I'm trying to have perfmon run a script that will email us when
concurrent website connections reach a certain level. It seems that no
matter what type of script I use (.cfm, perl, .exe, etc), the alert never
executes.. However if I change the settings to pop up a dialog box on the
console instead of running a script it works fine. I've googled around for
more info on this but I've found very little about anyone actually using the
alerts themselves.. I used this same method back in the pre Win2k days and
it worked just fine. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
:)
