Yup. Perfmon places an event in the app log with the number of connections when the alert is issued with no errors.. the script simply doesn't run. Gotta love it!

Maybe there's a permission issue. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Jespersen, Tim Sent: Monday, July 11, 2005 1:00 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: Performance Monitor Alerts Does anybody have any experience utilizing the alerts within performance monitor? I'm trying to have perfmon run a script that will email us when concurrent website connections reach a certain level. It seems that no matter what type of script I use (.cfm, perl, .exe, etc), the alert never executes.. However if I change the settings to pop up a dialog box on the console instead of running a script it works fine. I've googled around for more info on this but I've found very little about anyone actually using the alerts themselves.. I used this same method back in the pre Win2k days and it worked just fine. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) Tim Tim Jespersen Unitrin Specialty Lines Insurance http://www.unitrin.com - 'Unitrin Insurance for U' ----------------------------------------- CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: The information contained in this e-mail and attached document(s) may contain confidential information that is intended only for the addressee(s).
