FYI ... Linda The Metroplex Application Developers User Group will be meeting next week on Tuesday night, August 9 at 6:00 PM. The speakers are experts in Access developments in all types of enterprise situations.
Everyone, Our next meeting will be next week, Tuesday August 9th. In August the topic will be 'Maximizing Efficiency in an MDB for Multiple Users' and Chuck, Steve & Neal will be presenting. Neal says: Optimizing a database by minimizing data throughput. This technique will enable more simultaneous users for a multi-user Access Database. Steve Says: My main approach to that it to centralize some of the data (resource info) and then split the rest into various functional units and use a form of replication (not official) to share updates in a timely manner. Since most of my stuff follows the "process/evaluate" scheme as opposed to the "data entry/update" scheme, my approach will vary from the one taken there. My direction will be to discuss approaches to the "P&E" requirements and let you guys share approaches to other schemes and then take questions about same." Chuck says: I will share "Access Cookbook" by Getz, Litwin & Baron tips and suggestions. I will provide a copy of the included CD examples of neat code for everyone as well as demonstrate several examples. As always, please RSVP to Amber at [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more information see our website, www.madtx.org.
