Dear Friends, I just want to remind us all of this day. At 08:15 local time on August 8, 1945, a nuclear bomb exploded over the japanese City of Hiroshima. On this day, 45.000 people died in Hiroshima. Forty-five-thousand. On one day. Forty-five-thousand humans. Forty-five-thousand. Children and old aged. Women and men. "Good ones" and "bad ones". A ball of fire a kilometer in diameter or more... a shockwave that devastated square kilometers... fires that ran through the city and burnt what was left. One could say that the people who died immediately in the fire that was up to 5.000 degrees celsius, the people who died by the shockwave, by the fires devastating what was left of the city, one could say that these were the lucky ones. On that day _at_least_ 45.000 people died in Hiroshima. Up to today the numbers of people who have died, hibakusha (nuclear bomb survivors, verbatim: victims of explosion) and their children, is around 200.000. Today, still babies are born with extreme physical damages resulting from the radiation their parents (grandparents, etc.) were exposed to.
