Music is cool and all, but we all know that in the depths of your being, there is an inner child yearning - neigh - demanding, that its youthful dreams and fantasies now be satisfied.

Therefore I suggest that you sell your records, by a farm in Iowa, and raise pigs. Ahhh, to be free!

What does your heart tell you?? I definitly think you are GREAT in both areas, you know this Denise :) House is like you said, way more popular, but I think hard house is growing fast. Im gonna have to root for the underdog, HARD HOUSE. You can definitly throw that shit down (house as well though). Either way I know your decision will be the right one. Good Luck and I will talk to ya soon.

Hi all,

Well I feel like sharing all my plans for this year... crazy though as
it's already a quarter of the way through (wtf?)! Seems like if you don't
get on top of yer shit then time just flies past you... which is why ya
just gotta do things right... NOW! hm.

I did feel as though 2004 was a rather stagnant year for me, I don't feel
like I accomplished much or anything new... although I guess when I look
back on it I did do a few things:

- 2 Sound Asylums
- 3 mp3 mixes (Howe House 3, Motherfucker w/ Aleks, Double D Do Tekno w/
Dragn'fly)
- A track w/ Aleks (Machines rmx)
- A new collaboration w/ Dragn'fly (Double D) - more mixes to come... -
maybe some other stuff.

Okay.. but still, there's something missing. I feel right now like I'm in
a place where I need to take it tot the next level... or look into getting
another job! (I'm starting to feel the heat of being a broke-ass artist).
Since I love what I do, we're gonna keep at it. So, plans for the rest of
this year:

- Hard Dance Sessions V.2 - I've talked w/ Tripoli Trax & it's on...
Volume 2 is coming this summer, it will again be a 2-disc CD, this time
the other disc mixed by Marc Johnson. (note my updated sig). So I'll
keep you posted on that.

- I've been talking w/ Thee-O & we agree that we're in the same boat, but
in different areas (I'm like the Thee-O of SF, and he's the Denise of LA!
haha). So we're gonna collaborate. How? Another 2-disc CD, this time
i'll do funky house & he's gonna do progressive house. Cross promotion.
I cover distro in the Bay Area & he covers it in SoCal. Thee-O's getting
married at the end of April (congratulations!) so we're gonna wait until
all that hype has passed & then we will get our plans rolling.

- More Sound Asylums.... maybe only 1 this year, and it'll be a release
party for one of the above releases!

- Making BEATS. This is where my focus needs to be, and that's what I'm
working on most right now. I've started with making hard house tunes cuz
that's what I've learned to make w/ Aleks, but I want to start making
house now as well. I'm torn between the 2, as I don't feel like I can
"make it" in both genres. I have to choose one... so which should it be?
House is waaay huger in the US & all over the world, hard house is a very
small scene primarily out of the UK & small pockets around the world. So
I feel like in a business sense I should focus more on house... but hard
house is still a passion... so I dunno.

Sorry for the random blog... these are just the things that have been on
my mind & I thought it would be appropriate to share these thoughts with
all the lovely d-listers! :)

Any comments or advice welcome! Thanks for listening~ :)
