EPIC4-1.1.1 is now available at
ftp://ftp.epicsol.org/pub/epic/EPIC4-ALPHA/epic4-1.1.1.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.epicsol.org/pub/epic/EPIC4-ALPHA/epic4-1.1.1.tar.bz2
and at other mirrors.
There was no epic4-1.0.2 release because no significant changes were
neccesary to keep epic4-1.0.1 stable. However, a lot of functionality
changes were made to epic4-1.0.1 and it would be a mistake to release
the first round of those changes as "production quality". I have
therefore released epic4-1.1.1 as an alpha release. This release
should have very high quality (quite a few people have been using it
for quite a while) and suitable for most everybody's use. Any more
development will lead to future epic4-1.1.* releases, and will eventually
culminate in the production release of epic4-1.2.0. I hope it won't take
*too* long, though. ;-)
I couldn't even begin to do justice to all of the new features and other
improvements in epic4-1.1.1 in this email. You can peruse the list at
http://www.epicsol.org/UPDATES. Suffice it to say, there's a lot of neat
new stuff for everybody here.
