Ahh... perhaps there's a positive spin to it. Maybe they think that you have the essential goods in your research already. They are afraid of losing your research to the Army or "that PERFECT job". You must know how many brilliant PhD students quit before the thesis is finished because they found the PERFECT job. Honestly, writing a thesis is a HUGE BORE. Or it could be they judged that, in good faith, not finishing your thesis is evidence that you lack key quality that employers desire, i.e. _finishing_ a job. I took a long time to finish my thesis too, and believe me, every potential employer had to ask "what's wrong with you?" Took a few years for the stink to go away. But then... perhaps your advisors are really assholes, especially humanity professors. Just wait till you get your letters, those are your certification to be one yourself. Maybe you need a thesis drill sergeant. -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
