Was it specified that compatibility was the reason that they broke up?  I would 
have no problem at all seeing Dullindal as the kind of person who would view 
kids as a distraction from his overall goals.  That would result in his refusal 
to have a child, which would cause Talia to look elsewhere for a spouse.

As for a new series?  Who knows.  Destiny started out looking like an update of 
Zeta, but it quickly diverged and went into completely new territory.  Its 
possible that a new CE series could start out looking like a UC series, but all 
similarities could be gone by the end of the second episode.  In any event, 
let's just hope that the next series doesn't start with yet ANOTHER Gundam 
hijacking.  You'd think that by now the various nations would have learned how 
to put security code locks on their prototype mobile suits...

Though I suppose a particularly clever writer could start things out with what 
looks like yet another hijacking attempt, albeit one that ends up going 
horribly wrong...
