I think we can all agree Bandai releases things in waves.  Even if something sold well, if they kept releasing similar types of kits people would get burned out.  But that doesn't mean they won't go back later and come out with another wave of designs from a particular series.

 

As an example remember when there was a flurry of G Gundam MG kits?  I would've bought a Dragon Gundam but they never got around to releasing it.  I don't know how the G Line did as a whole but the fighting frame was pretty cool.   Does this mean they will never ever release a MG Dragon Gundam?  Maybe, but maybe not.  I think that they could very well start releasing them in the future.  If they had kept focusing on G Kits people would've gotten burned.  But as it is they didn't over saturate their consumer base.  They could later go back and release a bunch of new designs, even using the old fighting frame, and it would seem fresh because of the time between waves.
