I can only read katakana, and the only katakana next to the beam saber
(besides "Beam Saber") is "gimmick". I wouldn't consider most beam
sabers gimmicks (they're just standard weapons), so that plus the fact
that it appears to be lit, I'm going to have to say yes, it does light
up.
