Dr. Core >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yeah it's promising. Special hand (wrist) for bazooka isn't new, but combined with double joint should finally do the trick. BUT we have seen bazooka-pose photos before (as recently as HGUC Dom) and it was still disappointing when you try it yourself. So I won't hold expectation too high until I finish and play with it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I picked up the Triple Dom this weekend based of Dr. Core's recommendation. Mainly I wanted to have the additional hands so I could glue a hand on a bazooka if I needed to. This was very important to me because of my experience with the Gabthley hand fiasco. I wanted to see if I could reproduce the pose with the bazooka as seen on the cover. At first I couldn't do it but then I figured it out and now it is easy. The catch is that the open palm of the front Dom blocks your view of how the second Dom is holding the bazooka. The trick is the moveable bazooka grip. I slid it into a 45 degree angle and suddenly I got a huge range of pose ability with the bazooka, and I didn't need to glue the hand. I don't see it as being a cheat because it is easily doable with the kit as it comes out of the box. There is no outside customization needed to facilitate the poses. FYI, after building a Dom I give this kit 5 stars out of 5. It did make me think of one question. With bazookas should the thrust/explosion flare be coming from the projectile or the bazooka? I noticed on the cover art that they colored the launch piece to make the flare come from the bazooka. I would have thought that the flare should be coming out of the missile itself. -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
