Has anyone else noticed how quickly characters in Turn A fall in love with each other?  Fran Doll meets Joseph Yot in episode 24 and by Episode 25 he tells her he wants to marry her.  Gavin Gooney and Sochie meet for the first time in Episode 14.  He never shows any attraction to her until suddenly proposing marriage in Episode 23.  I can accept their romance a little more since they know each other longer and Gavin isn't a main character onscreen a lot so his attraction could've started off screen.  But with Fran and Joseph it just seems to come out of nowhere.  Was there something in the water??

That's a (bad) habit of Tomino or Japanese or even down to Asian cinema in general, there're many events that you don't see it happened yet it happened and the director would happily present it to you, as it's just the same as in the real world that there're many things happening so fast and you don't keep track of.

Hollywood and Western culture however used to make sure to take out these events to not to distract the audience, or make sure to give you enough hints (that's what Hitchcock taught us; you don't just let them see the clue but you have to zoom in to make sure they see the clue) to understand it.

...

Anyway, if your find the relationship too rush it's the same case in reality as well; whenever there's a war and lives is in turmoil people needs the companionship more and fall in love fast; you can easily read about love stories like this in WWII time and like.

But yes Fran & Joseph was not explained and it was a surprise to me too when I watched the show.

Is the FLAT's "vibration attack" an I-Field effect or are there vibration mechanisms in the FLAT?

I believe it is a sonic barrier.

Yeah, I agree, something like that. I think it's never explained right (I should go upstair and pull out my TAG books and check, but I've been stuggling with my baby for so long... I don't wanna walk up :-( ). Yet I have the impression using it as defense mechanism is an afterthought; the purpose of this ability for Moonrace is, as seen in ep1 of the series, "dugging" into the ground.
