Given that I support the war, and feel neither of those things, your "fact" is obviously opinion.

No, the mere fact that you support the war doesn't mean my stance is an opinion. It's an objective fact that the war distracted us from the war on terror (which was, and is, both valid and constructive), destabilized much of the Middle-East, and made us less secure in the long term. It's also objective fact that the war has led to many domestic problems, with many of the actions of the administration leading to privacy and human rights issues (among other things). No matter one's stance on these things it is impossible to deny that they exist, and that they are a direct consequence of a war initiated for, at best, dubious reasons.

So no, the fact of the matter is that there's no real reason to support the war, and even less to support the way it was handled (on which point I will defer to the numerous generals who have commented quite eloquently on that very subject). Support our troops, yes. Support the American ideal (somewhat tarnished though it may be at the moment), certainly. But support a war that has alienated us from our allies, killed tens of thousands of people, and left us less secure on every front? No way. It's bad for us, bad for the Iraqis, and bad for the international community, and everyone who knows what's going on knows it (and even the inner circle of the administration has admitted it -- all they're arguing about now is how to get out of it without making things worse).
