As stated in the title, Here Be Spoilers.

I vaguely remember that the first SEED Destiny recap episode was at about the
same point. Does anyone remember when SEED had the first of its recaps?

At least there's a minimal amount of plot development in the episode.

Three new Gundams appear and blow all of the superpower forces away. *yawn*

Throne Zwei (I think...) appears to have the ability to project the sensor
jamming GN Particles over a radius of at least hundreds of miles. Needless to
say, this easily defeats the "look for the blank spots in the sensors" trick.
It looks pretty cool when it's performed, though.

Is it just me, or does Setsuna appear to have replaced his fanatical adoration
of God (before the series started) with an adoration of the Gundams? Have the
Gundams become his new god?

We find out a little more about Corner's role. Apparently he can watch and
communicate with CB. But he can't actually participate in any way. The group
he's a part of can veto CB, but only if all of the members of his group (the
'Observers') agree.

The Observers were led to believe that there were only five solar furnaces.
Four are in the Ptolemais Gundams. Where is the fifth? I doubt it's on the
Ptolemais, because if that were the case then why would the Ptolemais need
recharges from the Gundams? And why do the furnaces on the Throne Gundams glow
red?

All three Throne Gundams appear to be designed for long range combat. Two of
them have bits and fairly accurate guns. The third has no bits but does have a
really, really big gun. So seemingly Exia is still the only close combat suit
(ignoring Khyrios's shield, which seems like more of a last ditch weapon),
which seems a bit odd.

One of the pilots, Johann Trinity (I think... the fair skinned one), seems to
come across as a future bad guy. The female pilot comes across as the type of
girl who shrieks "Kawaii!!!" at the sight of a puppy. And she doesn't like one
or two of Johann's comments. The third pilot doesn't contribute much to the
conversation scene, so it's hard to say much about him at the moment.

Of course, the OP suggests that the original four Gundam Meisters are going to
be fighting against the Throne Gundams.

It appears that next episode we'll get at least a minimal amount of information
about the new pilots, as they were rendevousing with Ptolemais at the end of
the episode.
