And what of DNSO.ORG's "final" draft?

Why no comments on it before it is submitted? That gives the drafting
team carte blanche to put whatever they want into it, and make whatever
claims they choose to make as to why they did it.

This has happened in the past, with the IAHC's "final" draft, and we
all know what happened to that.

You want openness? Change the timeline to include a comment
period on the final draft and some sort of voting/approval process
for the application.

If there's not enough time, then scrap the intermediate steps, and
start drafting the final draft now, in time to have a full comment and
approval process.

But if a final draft is submitted that hasn't seen comments and
has had room for discussion and approval, it's a closed process,
no matter how much you solicit comments and input.

My understanding is that the ORSC initiative is putting together
a starting point, and then 100% of the work on it will take place
on the ORSC list. I've already seen this starting point posted
to the list. There is *NOTHING* happening behind the scenes,
and that draft will not be submitted until its final form, arrived
upon on the open list, has consensus. There is no "participants"
list, no "team" lists - there's just the one open list.

Anyone can join, see http://www.open-rsc.org for details.

Too bad the "DNSO.ORG" people aren't doing the same.
