I don't think so.  ISOC has been losing influence for a long time.  Last
I heard they were down to 6,000 members and falling.

ICANN will either be accepted by the Internet community (which requires 
adjusting their practices and becoming useful to everyone else) or they
will wither away.   

The operations of Internet haven't been disturbed at all by the DNS wars
and all the fuss over ICANN.  There is little reason to believe that this 
is going to change.
