The USGOV pursues it's own corporatist agenda, Gordon.
Let us not be so naive to imagine that their momentary
concern for what is vaguely defined as the general good
has not been long ago overshadowed. By lobbyists and
pressure tactics Mr. Heath is just the tip of ye olde
iceberg of. And a pretty damned insignificant on at that.
His ISOC putsch is just a convenient hook to leverage
 by much more influential entities.

When will we finally and resolutely understand that we,
as citizens of the world, are niether powerless nor helpless.
The truth is the contrary - we hold the entire solution in
our grasp. All we have to do is constitute a non-partisan,
widely representative forum and work, slowly and diligently,
towards our own ends. This kind of grass-roots motion is
undeniable, irrepressable and undefeatable. We will carry
all opinion with us if we could only get over all of the
dead ends, illusions and diversions in our collective path.

 Towards that end...
