I see your point. Let's hope that the ICANN Board knows how to play
it so that the ISP associations and the RIRs have to arrive at a
compromise proposal for the ASO. Ditto for the PSO as regards the
SDOs, although
there have recently been some rather heavy-handed proposals in the
IETF to the effect of eliminating the PSO and having "ex-officio
Board members" deal sub rosa directly with the IETF/IESG/IAB.

I wonder what Becky Burr would have to say to all this? Or Tom
Bliley?
