Considering the amount of sleezy hype on the current webpage for
http://www.internic.net, I wonder if the USG is content to see the
following footer at the bottom of it:
"The InterNIC is a cooperative activity between the U.S. Government
and Network Solutions, Inc."
Frankly, as a U.S. citizen, I am ashamed that my government would
stoop so low as to authorize, certify, and cooperate with such a
crassly commercial website. Am I alone, or does anyone else besides
me wince at the sight of a national government apparently engaged in
commerce, and of this sort? What kind of image are we presenting to
the rest of the world?
