Well, we only lend support to them by taking them seriously, you
know. Probably the best thing would be to go ahead and laugh at
them. Taking them seriously just strengthens the seriousness with
which they take themselves. Or maybe we are playacting, on the
theory that the mad must be humored or they will become dangerous?
