Geographic Diversity, however it found its way, is a politically correct
euphemism and maybe also an attempt at a practical recipe to mean: not
dominated only by the US. A typically US, nineties straitjacket.
Go back to the original meaning or intent, stick to it, remember what
legitimacy means, and you may be on track not to disenfranchise too many
people the world over.
The division of the world is an Anglo pipe dream of trying to cater to
what is imagined as other peoples' thinking and needs. EG, the LA&C region
is made up in facto fo countries and colonies, of people who speak Spanish
as well as many other mother tongues, etc., ie in itself it is more
diverse than the differences between regions. And I guess people in Asia,
Africa, etc. will feel much the same way.
