Well, is certainly would be constructive to pursue this line of attack, 
wouldn't it?

So, let's ignore the fact that things have changed, including their 
attitudes.  And certainly let's ignore the considerable constituency that 
those organizations encompass.

After all, we aren't really concerned about being TRULY inclusive, are we?

No, we would rather stir things up and keep a tone of tension and mistrust, 
to make sure that "policy" consultants are sure to have a job trying to 
help sort through the mess that THEY helped create.

Yup.  Government had nothing to do with it.  No US funds were important to 
the development at all.

We certainly should not try to view this as a COLLABORATION amongst private 
and government groups.

What is most interesting is to see the story change, so that in one 
context, Tony claims that massive government funds give the US government 
complete rights over the evolution, and now his is saying it was only 
private money.

Sure would be nice to get a consistent story.
