What a fascinating spin on history, claiming that the FCC was essential to
the creation or growth of the Internet. The FCC managed to avoid creating
a mess, by failing to injecting itself into a process that was working
fine, and which did not need its help, as well as being global rather than
U.S.-based.

In other words, the FCC had nothing to do with the creation or development
of the Internet, and it was intelligent enough not to step in and cause
trouble.

But, then, I suppose we will find that this fascinating spin was being
offered by a detached observer who, we will much-later find out, did not
just have earlier involvement with the FCC, but was consulting for them(or
trying to.) On the other hand, it is refreshing to see that there is a
group he has had involvement with, but against which he does not pursue a
vendetta.
