Not true.
The organizational goals were documented on the website ab initio. The
membership rules have been approved by vote of the whole membership. The
whole charter will be reviewed by the newly elected steering committee,
amended if needed and subjected to the vote of the whole membership.
Tell me any better way of bootstrapping an organization.
And pray, tell me which other constituency has organized itself in a more
democratic way than that.

Not by fiat, my friend. If you read the thread again, you will see that I
called for seconds to proceed with the vote. Nobody seconded. The vote did
not proceed. You are still on the idno list. How much less dictatorial
do you want it?
I made a threat against people who were wilfully ignoring and challenging
reasonable list-rules and were in effect trying to disrupt our
proceedings. A threat to let the will of the majority decide.
It is a legitimate way of a democracy to defend itself and that is how I
called the thread.

I understand that the dnso-discuss , now GA , list has rather less
democratic ways to keep order.

See my previous posting on this. NOBODY HAS BEEN REMOVED.

There is nothing left of this "list".
Just be honest and say that you Kent and Dave, do not like our existence,
do not like our voting system, do not want us in the DNSO and will do
*anything* to stop ICANN from accepting us as a constituency.

Now, as we do not have any elected moderators, may I just ask you politely
to behave as good guests and stop the provocations?
May I ask all other list members to stop feeding these trolls?
Kent has been musing on the ifwp list how long he would last on the IDNO
list. It is clear that the 2 gentlemen are again trying to see how far they
can goad us.
As I have said long ago, I believe that ostracism is a valid democratic
procedure, especially necessary in an open environment such as a public
mailing list, where the majority can be easily held hostage by a few "guests".
If Crock'n Crisp will bring us to developing a workeable procedure for
modern day ostracism, the world of listservers and on-line communities
will be grateful, one day.
