Not true. The anti-Vim contingent set out with this statement: "Who in their right mind would use VI/VIM for doing actual development?" Then the people who use Vim (whether or not they also use IDEs) sought simply to prove they're in their right mind, not to say those who used IDEs were in their wrong mind. Hey man, every time I'm sitting there wondering whether the call is get_next_value() or GetNextValue() or get_nextvalue(), I wish for an IDE. Same thing when I have to figure out the args. It makes me kind of neurotic. :-) But not psychotic :-) My 8th grade science teacher explained the difference between neurosis and psychosis this way: Neurosis: When you start building your dream castle in the sky. Psychosis: When you move in. Now as an adult I define them differently: Neurosis: When you slow yourself to a crawl remembering arguments just so you can use your favorite editor. Psychosis: When you blame your lack of testing on your editor. :-) By the way, this thread has reminded me I wanted to check out Komodo.
