Hulu desktop for linux[1] is rather nice and much better than going to
hulu.com in a browser. Available for most all distros, though their site
only lists a couple. Check your distro's package repository first, I bet
its in there already :)

Not sure if there are other players like Hulu's for Linux. Hulu did a
great job with their desktop player in comparison, much better
performance, clarity etc, than viewing the same via your browser.

Checking out options to get rid of regular TV service. A buddy out west
recommended Roku[2]. Not sure if anyone has gotten an AppleTV[3], or
GoogleTV[4]. I must say the AppleTV is one of the first products from
Apple that is priced below similar offerings, which is some what odd for
Apple gear. The GoogleTV stuff is some what pricey in comparison, and
much clunkier.

I am sure there are other devices out there. Not sure which ones support
like HBO, Showtime, and other movie channels, or like History,
Discovery, etc. Going to like hbogo.com seems you still have to have
service from a regular provider which sucks! History and discovery you
can view some stuff on their site. Clicker[5] seems to be a good
resource for most sources. Just not the same when using a browser.

I was on a site the other day that seems to be the service provider
behind like At&t's Uverse TV service and others. But I cannot recall the
sites name, or find it in my history.

Man have things come a long way from xawtv, which seems to be a thing of
the past.
