When I was building a lot more machines I was really upset because of Intel's
business practices (essentially using their market share to disallow AMD
stock at distributors buy forcing contracts on them in order to get pricing
equivalent to other companies). The things they are finally getting sued by
AMD over now. I long ago decided I was never buying an Intel unless AMD
screwed me over and I've been much happier for it.

They cost a lot less usually and perform really well all around. Try and find
a gamer that doesn't use AMD instead of Intel (there aren't that many).
Anyway, from a little more intelligent standpoint, I would suggest having a
look at hardocp.com for some real benchmarking on how things are
comparitively. It is a very informative and unbiased site from what I can
tell. I've spent the last 6 years of my life eating my breakfast with it
along with all the CF stuff too hehe.

Good luck,
Mike.
