The firewall will have to let you in
through some port. Dunno if you’re using sql server or mysql or what, but
you can either open up the standard ports 1433 or 3306 based on which you’re
using… or you can open up some crazy high port number and set the
database to use that port instead and specify that in your ds.
However you go about it, you’re going to have to go through an open port
somewhere. Thanks, Ken Ferguson 214.636.6126 -----Original Message----- I need to query a

What specifically are you trying to do? On Thanks for the
comments. The <cfftp> works for moving the file. What would
be the "standard" way to reach a data source on the domain? I
want to try and maintain the integrity of the Firewall and not poke to many
holes in it. Mike Sumner Nations Best Sports From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Subject: Re: [DFW
CFUG] move a file from a web server Is <cfftp/> an option? If you used that
you wouldn't have to worry about Windows permissions across the network. On I am using <cffile> along with
a query to build a csv file of orders and save it to our ERP server
for import. It works great behind the firewall. The production
server is in the DMZ of the firewall and it is a workgroup by itself not
part our our Windows domain. I tried to us the \\server\share to save it
on the ERP server but the error is access denied. I've tried setting up
the web server with a static route to the network domain, added
routes on the firewall etc. Is there a "normal" way to
accomplish this? I suppose I could have
<cfmail> send me the file, but would like it to save directly to my ERP
server. Any thoughts would be appreciated Mike Sumner Nations Best Sports
