Robert,

It loads in just about the right amount of time for me on this end.  Flash forms are a bit slow, so if you anticipate your users will be on dialup this may not be the solution for you.  Otherwise, you may want to include a note on the page that Flash forms are used and the page will load momentarily.  Of course, before that I'd go through your code and make sure it's optimized as much as possible.  Nevertheless, my experience with Flash forms..it takes a bit to load.

Subject: [DFW CFUG] CF Flash Forms

We are just starting to do CF Flash Forms. Love them for a quick simple form but must have something set wrong on our server. It takes way too long for even a simple form to load.  Even a form that is not pulling anything from a database on the front end,  just posting back to a database on submission.

Not loaded heavily with styles or graphics.

If you would like to view a sample you can go to http://www.childrensparade.com/vol_form.cfm and experience how slow it is. Problem is people think that the page is blank and keep refreshing the page which just makes the problem worse. We built the same form in Flex and it loads fine, but the client didn't want to force the user to download Falsh Player 9
