Mike, Its going to be a lot easier to configure your internal system to reference the new database than to do some kind of replication hack like you're talking about. I understand the desire to delay the implementation of the database change, but you need to resist it. You're asking for a world of pain.

Top of my head…if you have a field, description would be last updated, when a staff makes a change to the profile that field is then updated to the current date. I would then compare the last updated date with current date and if the same fire off a notice in my action page. Make sense?
