Barbara,

Here's a link on how to do it in ASP. You create a text file with a
specific format (particularly it is a .vcs extension and is called
vCalendar). There is also an .ics extension for iCalendar. I'm not sure
which is more current. But in any case, you could adapt the following to
ColdFusion and just write the file to your server. Then provide a link to
it and your user should be able to open it directly into their outlook.

Hope this helps!

Subject: [DFW CFUG] Adding Calendar Event to Outlook

Hello,

I have searched high and low for this but can't find it anywhere so thought
I would try here.

I have a site for a client that has an event calendar. They would like
something like this
http://www.lincolnparkchamber.com/home/eventDetailsByMonth.cfm?ID=411
<http://www.lincolnparkchamber.com/home/eventDetailsByMonth.cfm?ID=411&m=6&y
=2007> &m=6&y=2007

They want the save to outlook functionality. Does anyone know of where I
can get the code for something like this?

Thanks.
