Thank you so much for the link earlier today. It wasnt my html so much as I was trying to open from the file structure of Dreamweaver. What I did was just said open. It worked.
The only issue that I have at the moment is I have stripped out the table content and other html tags but now I am not sure how to get rid of the spacing issues without the table layout. http://www.gnmaa.com/calendar.cfm if you click on any of the dates for June it opens up a description. At the bottom is an add to outlook link. You will see what I mean. Ms. Barbara S. You might try using entity references instead of the actual html characters. Not sure if that will work or not. I did find the documentation for vCalendar, so you might find an answer there: http://www.imc.org/pdi/ Check out the Specifications and other materials link for product developers. It may also be that HTML is not allowed in a description. I added a LINK and some bolding and italics to a calendar entry in my Outlook, and then saved that entry as a vCalendar file, then I opened the .vcs file in notepad to view the text of it, and there was no HTML markup in it at all. That leads me to believe it might not be possible, but maybe you can find the answer above. Good luck! I cant comment on the post anymore so I am going to ask what it is that I am doing wrong here. I get a return file with what I have below. However, outlook doesnt seem to like it. I think because of the html content. In looking at the vCal below I am thinking that because this is layed out in a table that it doest like the description. Outlooks error is: The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using. If someone has an idea I would greately appreciate it. vCal = vCal & "DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:"; // Convert CF_CRLF (13_10) into =0D=0A with CR/LF and indent sequences description = REReplace(stEvent.description,"[#Chr(13)##Chr(10)#]", "=0D=0A=#Chr(13)##Chr(10)# ", "ALL"); BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//LPCC_CAL VERSION:1.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART:20080321T131500Z DTEND:20070602T203815Z LOCATION:N/A SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:June Membership Luncheon DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<H2>June Membership Luncheon</H2>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2 width="75%" border=1>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TBODY>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>Date: </TD>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>Thursday, June 21, 2007 </TD></TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>Time: </TD>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Cocktails & Reception </TD></TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD> </TD>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Luncheon </TD></TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>Where: </TD>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>The Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel </TD></TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TR>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>Address: </TD>=0D=0A= =0D=0A= <TD>909 N. I have a site for a client that has an event calendar. They would like something like this http://www.lincolnparkchamber.com/home/eventDetailsByMonth.cfm?ID=411 <http://www.lincolnparkchamber.com/home/eventDetailsByMonth.cfm?ID=411&m=6&y =2007> &m=6&y=2007 They want the save to outlook functionality. Does anyone know of where I can get the code for something like this? Thanks. Ms. Barbara S.
