Wow.. helps a lot. Definitely gives me a little bit more direction.

all have unique one is:

Use the first WACK to get an idea of all the things CF can do and help you
understand the language (particularly components)
Get really familiar with the livedocs for CF to search up tags that you
won't remember 100% (you don't use every tag every day so reading the book
won't always give you the most knowledge for your time)
   Get into a framework
Research a few frameworks a bit (I would suggest Fusebox, Model-Glue, and
Mach-II)
Get into them well enough that you can find your way around, but learn at
least one very well.
Knowing one of them well, will likely make the transition to the others very
easy (at least it did for me)
Use the knowledge you have about HTML / Ajax already to get you that first
job so you can start building experience with someone. You already have a
passion for learning everything, so you are a great candidate for a Junior
developer because a company has the opportunity to mold you a bit more to their
needs as you help them.
Start learning Flex on your off-time. Its easy to learn, but AS 3 is a
different level of complexity than CF due to its different purpose, so there
are a wide range of levels you could go with it. The deeper you get into Flex,
the deeper you will get into ActionScript 3.

 AIR
AIR is simply of an extension of what you will already know. You can use your
HTML/AJAX/Flex skills to build application using it. All of the AIR specific
functionalities are extensions to ActionScript and Javascript for AIR so
nothing new other than the API itself.

 Scorpio
For the most part, Scorpio is adding tools to the CF language that you don't
already have. It makes jobs that were harder in previous versions easier, so in
most cases, other than finding the cffeed tag when you need to make/read an RSS
feed, etc., you won't have to spend a lot of specialized time if you are
developing for it. Beyond that, learning some of the syntax benefits etc. will
take minimal time (probably already for you since you've been coding for a year
already in CF). Administration is also much more robust in Scorpio, but as a
Junior dev, that is probably not as much a concern yet.

 Hope this helps,
 Mike.

 I have an interest in

1.Finishing both of Ben Forta's Application Construction Kit Books cover to
cover. Currently I'm on the first book and I've only gotten as far as Chapter
19 of 38 (plus Apendixes). I probably would have finished the first book by now
but about 3 months ago I took a break to learn/master the latest CSS techniques
& relearn JavaScript thanks to all the ajax libraries. Now that I"m done with
that I'm back on the Construction Kit books. However now there is a myriad of
things I want to learn which include.

 2.Flex 3

 3.Application Frameworks(probably MachII)

 4. CFEclipse and Eclipse in General

 5. Apollo(now AIR)

 6.Flash ActionScript3.0

 7. Photoshop Advanced

 8.Scorpio.

Problem is.... I don't know what order I should approach to all the books I've
got, but I believe it's safe to say finish up the Application Construction
Books first right? Or should I start on Flex or a framework or even Eclipse
before that? I've mastered Dreamweaver 8.

On top of it all every employer I talk to is wanting someone who wears all
these hats or it seems they won't bring you on or even consider you as a junior
developer w/o at lest the Frameworks and CFexperience.

By the way I am looking for a junior level CF developer position for those of
you posting jobs.. Been doing CF about 1 year + on my own and only about 6
months OTJ experience with CF.
