Since you are going from 3.1 to 3.3, I wouldn't bother with doing an
'upgrade' as there is a big difference between the 2. You can run
multiple versions of eclipse on one machine. The first time you start
eclipse, just point the different versions to their own workspace and
your golden.
Also, many plugins that work on 3.1 are updated to run on 3.3 so you
will need to install fresh versions anyway.

1. Is there a way to simply update my version of Eclipse to the latest
version. For example if I were going from 3.1 to 3.3 is there a way to just
update my version or do I have to blow away 3.1 and then download 3.3? If I
have to do that then I lose all my plug-ins and have to re-install them.
2. With CLEO and FEBE for Mozilla browser, I'm able to package all of my
extensions into 1 .xpi file and then place it on my ftp server. I can then
download that .xpi file or share it and whenever it's opened in Mozilla or
Netscape9 then my extensions are automatically installed along with my
latest profile.
Is there something like this for Eclipse?
