Hi, Clement. As a former Macromedia, later Adobe, employee, i just want to poke my finger in the dam here and say that there's no doubt that Adobe wants to encourage promotion of their products. However, there are often other issues at play. The biggest, of course, is security. In a software company as big as Adobe, there are some real concerns about keeping things locked down (in regard to both the physical facilities and on the network). Another is that they might simply not have adequate space for us. The old Macromedia office in Richardson was very large and had some great spaces for meetings like these. However, that office has since closed, and it was my understanding that the local Adobe offices were simply business offices, and not very large. (Note that my info is out of date--i haven't been an Adobe employee since early in 2006 and i've worked from home since mid-2003). Finally, recognize that you would be asking one of the folks there to make a personal commitment to extend their (already long, in my experience) business day while we have our meeting there. So while it doesn't hurt to ask, we probably shouldn't read too much into it if Adobe isn't able to accommodate us. Thanks for running down the list. --- Skipper Pickle 972.978.5807 _______________________________________________ Reply to DFWCFUG: [email protected] Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://lists1.safesecureweb.com/mailman/listinfo/list List Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/list%40list.dfwcfug.org/ http://www.mail-archive.com/list%40dfwcfug.org/ DFWCFUG Sponsors: www.instantspot.com/ www.teksystems.com/
