Office with door which is open 95% of the time.

My favorite story was when I was working in St. Louis for a company that
was under renovation during the winter. We were in a row of cubes that
had a shared wall. On the other side of this sheetrock wall they had
completely gutted the warehouse to build additional workspaces. That
winter in St. Louis it got pretty cold (hovering just about 32 F) so we
coding with our winter coats and gloves on. I had to resort to the
gloves without the fingertips. Thankfully the construction/destruction
lasted only 3 weeks, but fun times indeed.

Subject: [DFW CFUG] Informal poll on working conditions

Hi all,

My entire group back in California is being moved to a new 'temporary'
location in a building about 5 miles from the other buildings in our
campus. Even worse, they will be losing their offices and moving into
cubicles though they will have doors. Needless to say, a number of
folks are not real happy about their new home.

I am curious about most folks working conditions. If you have a sec
will you respond with how many of you work in the following:

1. Office with door
2. Cubicle
3. Open room - no privacy
4. Remote

Thanks in advance for your replies to my informal poll and I will share
the tabulated results with the group.
