That is something that's not obvious to me and now you know what you are dealing with...lol...a novice! Thank you very much! That makes sense.

It is merely the database in which your files will be stored. You could have your repository on a server completely separate from your web server as they have completely independent roles. From your description it sounds like E: would be a good candidate for that location, but not because that is where your files are. ~d On 9/19/07, Ron Mast <[EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: @Dave I have started the svn1clicksetup and I'm at the part where it wants to know where I want to put my repository location. Note that my development server has two partitions the C drive and the E drive. E drive is where my home directory is for my default website. The installation's default location is c:\svnrepos\...should I change that to e:\svnrepos\? Thanks for your patience! :) Ron Mast Truth Hardware Webmaster 507-444-4693 ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>] On Behalf Of Ron Mast Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2007 11:25 AM To: Dallas/Fort Worth ColdFusion User Group Mailing List Subject: RE: [DFW CFUG] installing subversion Great memory Dave. I was on that site last night and downloaded it and didn't have success at home...I ran into an error which made it appear as though the installation process was not complete. I will try it here at work. I'll keep you posted. What platform is your server? I seem to remember that you are in a Windows environment. If so, this is the only link you need to have SVN up and running for your Eclipse plugin of choice to connect to: http://svn1clicksetup.tigris.org/ ~d On 9/19/07, Ron Mast < [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: Hello All, I now have eclipse w/ CFEclipse and Subclipse plugins installed. I want to set up Subversion but don't totally understand the entire setup. What do I need? We have a development server with CFMX 7 on it. I want to use that as the SVN Repository. I've been reading up on Subversion from what I've googled, but am a bit confused about installing Apache. First is downloading the correct version. I'm on the following site http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/ . I want to download the msi installer...what is the difference between no-ssl and openssl? Which version should I download? If anyone has any useful information that will jump start me in the correct direction in getting Subversion working with eclipse and subclipse that would be greatly appreciated. Meanwhile I will keep researching.
