With our CARP clusters it simply stopped working last week... No clue why, but the only thing that helped was a reboot.
We did not switch tun / tap... Perhaps we should keep an eye on this... Rebooting helped me a lot. OpenVPN works like before the upgrade! I forgot to mention that earlier - if you *ever* switch between tun and tap, it requires a reboot in between. Not unexpected there. I didn't think of it since you said you had dev tap in the advanced options.
