Out of interest, just how much *is* the price premium to get Comcast/Verizon to give you a small static range (e.g. /29)?

If I'm reading the diagram correctly, each net connection is connected to a single pfSense box. If the pfSense box dies, so does access to that net connection. To my mind, it would be better to do something like this:

(that's one I prepared a few years back, based on 3 DSL connections into two pfSense routers, but you get the idea)

Of course, to do that you'd need at least a small range from each ISP - a /29 should be sufficient.

You can then balance using gateway groups, or as others have suggested, direct different traffic out via different ISPs (e.g. if your usage allowance from ISP1 is low, you might want to send large transfers out via ISP2).
