I am not sure about the old Endian device.
Please check CPU, if it is compatible.
If this is not the problem, you could buy such an IDE-CF-Card device and just copy the pfsense image on it.
But to be honest, I don't have good experiences with those adapter.
I bought one about a year ago, but never could make it working with pfsense.
