Hi Andrew,

my first thought: logical subnetting?

Split up your private network into 2 groups logically.
for the easier creation of the firewall rules the bitmask subneting is a
good idea.
p.e. 192.168.1.0/24 split into 2 smaller subnets like 192.168.1.0/25 +
192.168.1.128/25

pos. TRAP: logical subnet !! do not configure that subnet mask on the nic
of the pfsense nor in the clients all NICs get the 255.255.255.0 as netmask!

One logical subnet:
The full access clients get an firm IP-Address configured.

The second logical subnet addresses getting served by DHCP.
All Guests must have DHCP

Create the neccessary rules in the firewall for the deny of
unknown/unconfigured full access clients, the restiction of the limited
clients and the rule for the full access clients.

HTH

greetings

m.
