thanks for the information, guessing things are different enough that replace/reinstall will be best option. Guess there would always be that doubt about any issue that would come up if it was an error in updating.

Recent builds allow you to manually change this from the UI so that
you don't have to wait 40 seconds each time you make a config change.

You, sir, have my thanks.

I was going to reply to the OP to mention that config changes (in fact,
navigating the webGUI in general) is a *lot* slower on 2.1 than 2.0, but
I have a sneaky suspicion you might have just solved that one for me :-)

One other thing I have noticed is that 2.1 is a fair bit more RAM-hungry
than 2.0. I suspect that'll only be of issue to those running it on
embedded systems as I am - 2.0 was quite happy with 128MB, 2.1 seems to
be 'tempramental' after a few days on systems with less than 256MB.

I also found that upgrading configs from 2.0 to 2.1 is a little
tempramental, that is to say the resulting config doesn't always work.
I'd say this happens about 1 in 4 times. Unless you have lots of very
complex rules, you might be better off starting from scratch with a new
config.

FWIW, I've been using 2.1 in production for a few months now, simply
because not having working IPv6 support was a dealbreaker. Apart from
those comments above, it does seem to Just Work (TM).

Kind regards,

Chris
