There is an option to enable failover traffic from pfsense itself, go to
System -> Advanced -> Miscellaneous - *Allow default gateway switching.*

To failover traffic from LAN, you have to create Gateway Groups, System ->
Routing -> Groups. After that, edit the firewall rules from LAN to choose
the gateway group.
