I've been looking at the kit at Netgate for $199 to replace my poweredge 2850 for pfSense. My concern is the sd/flash memory and the use of squid primarily for content filtering but also limited caching. My understanding is the SSD or SD card will have its life limited by the extensive r/w. Can anyone with experience with the 2850 and this device comment as to how it will compare beyond the obviously smaller sizer and lower power consumption. Is there anything I should know consider?
