Dear all,

As I remember when I started using pfSense (back at 2.0) I could make a sense
of the dynamic view "Status - Traffic shaper - Queues". I could watch my voip
queue for instance and clearly see it report sensible values according to the
VOIP sessions in progress. I could even spot the count of simultaneous channels
just by looking at the packets rate.

Somehow I lost that 'sense', not sure if it was since 2.1 or some sub-release
since then, but it still is obscure (to me) with 2.2.2.

Is the dynamic reporting done by that status display meant to be some mean over
some time instead of an instant report (at each refresh)?

It is weird to the point that sometimes, if I visit it I first see completely
wrong values : 1.4 Gbps on my WAN for instance (which is technically limited to
70 Mbps). In such case, over some minutes the values start decreasing and
finally come to some more sensibe values.

Is there some known defect there? Or is this a known symptom for something
terribly ill-configured on my side in the traffic shaper?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts or experiences on the matter.

Best regards,
