I can tell you that straight away,  for apple you can block the following two domains. and the corresponding ips, if you feel its neccesary.

I did query our domain db to see if there were any other matching domains for those ips and I found zero results, so, proceed with caution when blocking those ips, just because I didnt find a match in our db, does not mean there isnt other hosts on those ips. Just that there probably isnt.

I have however, verified that Apple has, fortunately for us, seperate hostnames and ips for the app store, various other services, and itunes, so that makes blocking by ip and hostname pretty easy, and more than likely will result in this being as easy as blocking a small handful of hosts for the express purpose of blocking apps n updates.

Would'nt that be nice?
